Sustained Studies in Contemporary Canadian Issues Programme 2006-08
The Canadian High Commission and the Foundation for Canadian Studies in the UK are pleased to announce the 2006-08 competition under the Sustained Studies in Contemporary Canadian Issues Programme. The guidelines and application form can be downloaded here.The competition is open to scholars at UK universities and other degree-granting institutions. Applications will be accepted from teams of at least three scholars either from within the same UK institution or from different institutions.The four broad research themes for which applications are invited are:1. Healthcare Reform in Canada and the UK2. Managing Social Diversity in Canada and the UK3. Electoral Reform in Canada and the UK4. Energy Security in Canada and the UKThe value of the grant is up to a maximum of £7000 per year for two years. One grant will be made for the 2006-08 competition; unsuccessful bidders may have a chance to bid for the same topic in a subsequent round. The deadline for receiving applications at Canada House is 1 November 2006. First payment to a successful bidder will be made in December 2006.
