The Journal of Historical Biography is an international, peer reviewed, purely online journal. Articles may be published in English or French.
We seek original articles with a maximum length of 10,000 words, that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Articles embracing all aspects of historical biography are welcome. This includes biographical portraits of prominent individuals of any nation, and theoretical, methodological or philosophical pieces that reflect on the larger issues associated with writing biography or autobiography.
Book reviews related to biographical works are also solicited.
Notices of conferences, calls for papers, and similar academic notices will be accepted.
