Library and Archives Canada

Northwest Territories Archives
Archives relevant to the human history of the NWT, created by individuals and organizations in the private sector, are also preserved and made accessible. The holdings document the history of the NWT including among other things the oral tradition and history of the NWT first nations, constitutional development in the NWT leading up to the creation of Nunavut, the activities of the Government of the Northwest Territories since 1967, the fur trade, aviation industry and the developemnt of the mining industry.

Archives of Ontario website: Government of Ontario website promoting the State's Archives
Includes access details, strategic plan, overview of collections, and an Archives Advisor Service. The archives include Ontario Government records (including land records and registrations of births, marriages and deaths), private sector records (including business/company records), genealogical records, vital statistics, records relating to aboriginal peoples, a library, and special collections of photographs, cartographic records, architectural records, documentary art, and sound and moving images.
