Canada e-Book
Published by Statistics Canada, and based upon data in the Canada Yearbook 2001. The e-Book is divided into four headings: the land, the people, the economy, and the state. For each heading there is a text-based overview. Tabs along the top-right of the screen provide links to tables, charts, supplementary texts, images, and audio clips.

The national organisation representing geographers at universities and public and private bodies. The website includes information about its publications and meetings, links to Geography departments in Canada, and other educational material.

GEsource is the Geography and Environmental Science subject gateway for the UK Resource Discovery Network. This page provides a short country profile. The "Canada links" section on the left of the screen provides access to maps, satellite images, and over 250 online resources.

Masterliness - The World Knowledge Library
A broad ranging site, with much of its content reflecting the interests of its authors and looking at topics outside of Canadian studies. The home page, however, provides links to information about cities, towns, and local communities in Canada. Also included are short biographies for selected actors, politicians, musicians, scientists etc.

Maps

Atlas of Canada
Maintained by "Natural Resources Canada (NRCan)" this Government of Canada website hosts a large number of maps relating to all aspects of Canada; although it is particularly strong on the Environment, Economy and Natural Resources. Maps are scaleable and are usually accompanied by statistical data and further notes. A number of historical maps are also provided In the "Archive" section, including scanned images from al editions of the "Atlas of Canada" (from 1906 onwards). The site also offers an advanced search tool based on locations or keywords, and a number of learning resources for use in educational curricula.
